I refused to collaborate with Atom because he’s no longer relevant – Patapaa

The truth is, Patapaa is currently the most-talked about artist in Ghana for obvious reasons. Forget Shatta and Sark, this is Patapaa’s season and let’s allow him to enjoy for he has seen real struggling before.

For it’s no surprise that every Ghanaian artist is dreaming to collaborate with the Agona-Swedru superstar. His whack verse on a song alone has what it takes to make the song trend citing “Daavi Neba” by Kawoula as a case study.

As a result of the influence of Patapaa on a song, Atom who’s currently struggling to produce a hit song approached Patapaa for a collaboration. But to the surprise of Atom, the “skopatumana” crooner refused to give him (Atom) a listening ear.

According to Patapaa, he refused to collaborate with Atom upon request because the “Yewo Krom” hitmaker is no longer relevant in Ghana Music Industry. Thus, the relevancy of Atom in our music industry has been reduced to an underground artiste.

Besides, Atom once disrespected him. Remember that Atom who became popular with his “Yewo Krom” song and disappeared afterwards advised Patapaa to be careful because Ghanaians may forget him like it happened to him.

Speaking to DJ Poppa of Obrempon FM fame, Patapaa revealed that Atom has contacted him for a collaboration after he predicted his downfall. “Atom brought his song but I didn’t do it because people have turned toilet roll. He’s now underground musician.

Atom once made a statement that ‘I talked to Patapaa but he didn’t listen’. He thought I don’t understand English.

Today he is sending his song to me to feature, after he will accuse me of stealing his song. No I won’t do that collaboration”, Patapaa told DJ Poppa.
