I Need All Of You To Build The Ghana We Want – Akufo Addo To Ghanaians

Midst of the country’s current economic difficulties, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged all Ghanaians to contribute their fair share to creating and enriching the country and economy that we all desire.

He urged Ghanaians to put their ethnic differences aside and work to improve “the country we all call home.”

The president hammered home the notion that government alone cannot improve the economy, saying that the country’s growth is a common responsibility, not just his and his government’s, and that everyone has a role to play in producing tangible outcomes for the country’s betterment.

“However, I cannot do this alone; I need all of you to join me in building a Ghana that is independent of help,” he continued.

He made these remarks as he took to the podium to deliver his speech during the 65th anniversary of Ghana’s independence, which was held at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the Central Region.

Ghana can only get back on its feet, according to the president, if all residents prioritize their communal responsibilities. He remarked this in reference to the 65th anniversary of the country’s independence, which is themed “Working Together; Bouncing Back Better.”

“This topic imposes a duty on all of us,” Nana Akufo-Addo says, emphasizing the need to set aside personal differences and work together to improve Ghana.

He went on to say, “yen ara asase nie,” a classic patriotic hymn created by the legendary Ephraim Amu.

He stated that our predecessors and prior presidents have done their part, and now it is up to Ghanaians to rise to the occasion and assist in the growth of the economy. “Edru mi ni wo so nso, se ye be ye bi atoa so,” he pleaded, “it is now our turn to continue the good activities.”

Despite the fact that the economy is facing certain difficulties, he stated that the country has achieved significant triumphs, such as becoming a net exporter of food.
