I Protected The Public Purse But Politics Have Blinded Few To See – Akufo Addo To Critics

The president of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has said that the New Patriotic Party government have protected the public purse, contrary to claims by others that the government is corrupt.

Speaking today at the National Anti-Corruption Conference, Akufo Addo said that, those concluding that the New Patriotic Party government have mismanaged the economy are politically motivated purposes served to stigmatized his government.

He said the New Patriotic Party government have spent more monies on education, health, infrastructure, roads, agriculture, industry, the security services and Anti-Corruption institutions than any Government in the fourth Republic.

He added that the expenditure indicates clearly exactly what the tax payers money had been used for so it’s very difficult for critics to sustain any serious argument about the mismanagement of public funds by the NPP government.

“There is a conclusion to which I would draw the attention of those political purposes are served by the attempted stigmatisation of my government as corrupt. More monies have been spent by my government on education, health, industry…”
