I Can’t Work With Guru Because He Disrespected My Family – Kuami Eugene

The Lynx Entertainment signer’s refusal to work with Guru on a song in 2021 prompted Guru to attack Kuami Eugene on social media and release the song “Who Born Dog?” in retaliation.

Kuami Eugene, on the other hand, has revealed why he declined to collaborate with hip-hop great Guru despite being a fellow member of the business.

Eugene said that Guru treated him and his entire family disrespectfully, which was a behavior he could not stand.

Kuami Eugene was accused of being ungrateful by Guru in a series of tweets, and he warned him of the repercussions his eventual departure from Lynx would have on his karma.

Guru did not use the appropriate route, according to Eugene, who at the time provided an explanation for why a partnership had not been established. You want to showcase me, yet when you visit media outlets, you disparage the person who created me.” Without Richie, I wouldn’t have been Kuami Eugene; therefore, despite our differences, I demand respect be shown for him. Any song I produce must go through Lynx Entertainment because I am represented by them.

Kuami Eugene stated in a recent interview with Delay that he didn’t anticipate Guru going down that path, particularly given that the rapper is an adult.

Kuami Eugene remarked, “He has a temper.” It was an issue that I wished the industry’s veterans could have resolved on their own.

It is problematic, he continued, for Guru to have attacked Eugene’s neighbors.

“I didn’t have a problem with Guru, but now I do because he offended my family,” the speaker said. He used his time in the studio to make fun of me and another man who said he was my father. Guru is an adult, so I didn’t anticipate him to act that way,” Eugene remarked.
