Ghanaian musician Iona Reine disclosed that no matter what she does people won’t stop linking her to late Ebony Reigns hence she is trying to bring back her memories.
In an interview with Zion Felix on Tuesday 27, 2020, she said, she is not imitating Ebony but she is bringing her memories back.
She added that the ‘Mame hw3’ hit maker is the inspiration behind her ‘Obra’ music video.
‘Of course she is the inspiration behind my ‘Obra’ music video, there is more to it than she being an inspiration. It is more of my face because we look alike. My reason for ‘Obra’ music video is that I didn’t like comments being made about me because of her but now I have realized that no matter the situation, people will still link me to her, so I have stopped fighting and I am bringing her back,’ she stated.
When asked if she is emulating Late Ebony, she replied: ‘There is nothing made particularly for Ebony. A lot of people style their hair and dress like Ebony but when I bring an idea to my brand that is when I am copying Ebony,’ she said.
She noted that the fact that Ebony had certain characteristics doesn’t mean nobody wouldn’t have same qualities.
Iona Reine released her music video titled ‘Obra’ which many Ghanaian have lashed out at her for what they describe as copying late Ebony Reigns.
