‘How My Song Once Saved A Man From Committing Suicide’ – Celestine Donkor Reveals

Award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, Celestine Donkor has disclosed the power her music wields after she told Hitz FM in a fresh interview how her song saved one man from committing suicide some time ago.
She told Andy Dosty on his morning show, Day Break Hitz that she decided to return to the music scene after a long absence because of how influential her songs are in the lives of those who listen to them.

Celestine said: I was inspired to go back to recording music by a man who nearly committed suicide, but changed his mind after he heard my song.

She also touched on how her music career began;
In the said interview, she revealed how she started doing music saying;

I recorded my first song when I escorted a friend to the studio. I didn’t intend to record anything. After recording my first album, I didn’t know where the money passed. I wasn’t concerned. I didn’t ask Freddie Ma although he financed the entire project. I was ignorant and young.
