National Women’s Organiser for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw disclosed how faceless people are threatening her her with death.
“I received the message three days ago. I have decided not to go to the Police because the CID has been mentioned in the mesage so I can’t trust the police to do a better job,” Dr Bisiw told host Mugabe Maase.
The former deputy Agric Minister who spoke on Inside Politics on Power 97.9 FM from the Northern region where she is on a tour, disclosed that the threats were sent to her via text messages
The vociferous politician believes her life is being threatened because she hits hard at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for its “nonperformance.”
“..I also know I have been criticising the government for failing Ghanaians. Over here (Northern Region) the dams the government promised the people have not been done. People are suffering, women are suffering and they [NPP] want us to sit and look at them mess the country up… I’ll continue to criticise the government,” she added while she expressed committment to her mandate as a women’s organiser for her party.
Asked what she made of the threats, Dr Bisiw said, “the threats have awakened” her and that, she will not give in to the apparent “tactics to suppress” her.
