Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall star and Bhimnation boss, Stonebwoy has in reply to highlife legend Gyedu-Blay Ambolley refuted his claim that the new crop of musicians have missed their Ghanaian identities.
Stonebwoy in an interview on Hitz Fm, respectfully respected the opinion of the ace singer, songwriter and rapper but he also opined that in these times of changing trends, it is sometimes necessary that we employ and copy some international methods to make our music sell to the world.
He further pointed to the fact that he does not always use patois in his music, citing examples of using a plethora of local languages in most of his records and performances on international stages, and that the experienced musicians shouldn’t pay a blind eye to that aspects but they should all come together to help push Ghana music to the world.
