Government Should Distribute GHS6,000 To Ghanaians – Citizen Kofi Amoah

The celebrated Ghanaian businessman Citizen Dr Kofi Amoah Last night on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana show with Paul Adom Otchere, Dr Kofi Amoah made some revealing recommendations to the government of Ghana (GoG). He touched on many sectors of governance but threw more light on employment issues.

He told the incumbent government to award contract to Ghanaians so that our monies will stay in the country. When a local person wins a contract, he/she will spend the money here in Ghana, pay taxes, spend on their families, therefore returning the money to the government after making productive contribution to the economy.

He also said that loans don’t work in the country because of interest rates. The number of business men in Ghana die out without implementing their business talents. He urged the government to pay individuals GHS6,000 for people to set-up businesses with.

Paul Adom Otchere quickly cut him in and asked if it should be distributed to all Ghanaians instead of locating the business-oriented ones and giving them the monies in lieu. But he still insisted on his opinion.

However, he is preparing a petition to the government which is still accepting citizens of Ghana to sign. The link is change.org/StopBorrowingNow

Dr Kofi Amoah has worked in the United States at Northrop, Electronic Data System (EDS), Southeast Investment Corporation Development, Elsafe Incorporated, Global One and Bear, Stearns Inc.

The business man is the founder and CEO of Citizen Kofi entertainment Center. Other companies belonging to him are J.S. Investments Inc. based in Los Angeles, PPVIA Ghana Limited, and Progeny Aluminum.
