Good News As Whatsapp Launches Payment Services To All Its Users

Covid-19 pandemic is now not a new word to anyone. Mostly known as corona virus by many of us. Covid-19 has affected every corner of the word, with economy getting affected negatively and mental health also becoming a big concern, Although there has been measures put so as to curb the disease which has continued to spread across the globe without any bias to the rich or the poor or even your personal status in the world which have made even top leaders across the globe contract the infection and saw lots of institutions closed from schools,churches and even some company whom their employees could work from home, having over 7 million confirmed cases of the virus and over 300000 individuals that have succumb to the disease according to John Hopkins University, during this period each and every developers are looking for various ways to put their business online as a way of still earning despite the pandemic.

WhatsApp has started rolling out a Payments service in Brazil after successfully testing the product in India. It is the first time the service is being rolled out in any part of the world, as the app joins in the efforts to help businesses accept digital money across the globe as the new product on WhatsApp will allow users to pay for items without leaving their chat. The Facebook owned app has unleashed a first just as Facebook announced development of Shops on its platform, allowing users to add items to cart and check-out on the business pages.

With the seamless integration between Facebook business and WhatsApp, the company is making it easier for shoppers to complete transactions on the social media network without being re-directed to external websites in which have been seen in facebook which has in the past few months endeavoured to cushion small businesses by making the platform versatile while improving functionality in efforts to help small businesses gain traction especially after the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a report released by Facebook last month, 31 percent of small and medium sized businesses had shut down since March, and more businesses, especially small personal businesses were at risk of shutting down within the next few months since lots of people are either working from home and many have ventured into online in which have seem to be helping them reach as many people as possible across the globe at comfort of their home.
