The association of Ghana Local Chiefs led by Nii Mensah I who doubles as the Musuku manhene in the Greater Accra Region has made a passionate appeal to the president to support them *Nananom* with sanitation instruments to help keep the towns clean as part of GOV’T initiative to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa.
According to Nii Mensah I, they are ready to get their people organised for monthly clean up exercise as they call it *communal labour* that will be made compulsory for every member living on their Lands to partake in the exercise or face their wrath. We need accessories such as *Brooms, shovels, gloves, Wellington boots, Bin containers, waste vehicles etc.* to enhance the sanitation combat.
We Nananom are calling on Govt to help us clean our cities. The fight of GALAMSEY must be equal as the fight of sanitation.
They said this during their monthly clean up excise and the Malaria awareness campaign.
