Some information gathered by Ghanawish.com has it that, Ghone TV, a subsidiary of EIB Network which operates from Platinum Place office complex at Ridge in Accra is set to face its biggest crisis as technicians on duty today boycotted work due to allege delay in payment of their salaries which took the channel off air for some time.
The free-to-air tv station went off temporarily at around 10:30 am this morning after technicians reported to work but decided to break transmission as a form of registering their displeasure over their allege huge unpaid salaries.
According to the information gathered, the salaries of these workers have been delayed close to 8 months making it very difficult for them to cope with the current economic hardship.
If all could recall not long ago, the EIB Network has over the past years lost some of its core members and big brains due to this unpaid salaries saga. The likes of Berla Mundi, Giovanni Caleb, Anita Akuffo, Kemini Amanor have all left the media outfit over unpaid salaries issue.
