Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has paid a ‘compliment’ to LaLiga side Sevilla by revealing that he hates playing in their stadium the most.
During his managerial career, spanning 18 years at Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Anfield, Klopp’s sides have played at a host of daunting sporting arenas.
But when pressed on which stadium he hates playing in the most, Klopp named the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
Klopp said, as reported by SPORT, “‘I don’t know if it’s the best stadium to play in, but the stadium I hate playing in the most is Sevilla’s because of the atmosphere it has… that’s a compliment!”
Klopp has never recorded a victory at Sevilla’s ground‒ he came close to a win in his latest attempt two years ago as his Liverpool side were 3-0 up but Sevilla came back to draw 3-3.
The Reds were three goals to the good after the half-hour mark but two Wissam Ben Yedder goals in the second half and then a stoppage-time equaliser saw Klopp leave with just one point.
