He said the Akufo-Addo administration has put many intervention sin place to ameliorate the plight of many families.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP), he said, must lead the narrative on the government’s many interventions.

In a Facebook post after visiting the new executives of the party at the NPP’s headquarters in Accra on Friday October 14, the former National Organizer of the NPP said “It was a great moment for me once again to visit the Famous NPP headquarters, to share some few thoughts with the New Leadership of our Great Party as the Party prepares to go through another electoral cycle and election 2024.

“Whiles we appreciate the untold hardship all citizens of the world are going through, it is important for the NPP to also lead the narrative on government’s many interventions meant to ameliorate the plight of many families.

“Globally, Continentally and locally everybody is feeling the pinch at the pump. But I trust the Nana Akufo Addo administration to take us out of the current difficult global economic situation being felt locally; as a party and government we have done it before.

“It was also an opportunity for me and my able Deputy , Mad. Anna Miezah to educate the Party Leadership on the activities and Operations of the NLA and to take feedback from them as well.

“I am hopeful the situation will be better in 2023… I never doubt the spirit of this administration and the Nation’s Optimistic Leader. To the Youth… this is definitely the time to also be a support system to each other and rally round the government as we navigate these difficult times.”

Ghanaians are going though several challenges, a situation that has compelled the country to seek support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta said the staff of the IMF is motivated to conclude on a programme for the West African country.

Mr Ofori-Atta intimated that the two sides are all working 24/7 to ensure that the process moves faster.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with TV3’s Sani Abdul-Rahman, on the sidelines of the meeting with African Finance Minsters with the G7 as part of the ongoing World Bank/IMF Meetings in Washington D.C. Mr Ofori-Atta expressed confidence that the negotiations will be sealed before the announcement of the 2023 budget statement.

He further indicated the team from the Ministry of Finance that is currently in the United States will be staying beyond the period for the World Bank/International Monetary Fund meetings with African Finance Ministers, to enable them conclude discussions and negotiations.

Mr Ofori-Atta indicated that is to give the team enough time to be able to come to some fair decisions on the outlook.

He said “We still are working through and as you know we are staying beyond the Fund, the World Bank meetings through, maybe, the 20th, so we will continue with the Mission and the work. We pray that that may give us enough time to be able to come to some fair decisions on the outlook, as quoted by 3News.com.

“I can tell you that the Fund staff is very motivated , which is good and we are 24/7, so the combination of their own enthusiasm, our clarity on the work that has been done to fulfill the President’s promise. If you look at the turn out of discussion for this annual meeting clearly, the world is recognizing that something different has to be done.”
