Ghanaians anticipate lockdown, ban on social gatherings as Akufo-Addo addresses on COVID-19

Most Ghanaians are anticipating a partial lockdown and a ban on social gatherings as the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today address the country on measures taken to curb the spread of the deadly COVID-19.

The President is expected to put some restrictions in place as the number of COVID-19 cases continue to increase each passing day.

This address will be the President’s 23rd address since Ghana recorded cases of COVID-19.

Currently, the number of active cases in the latest update provided by the Ghana Health Service 4,665 with 405 deaths.

There are calls on the President to lockdown the country considering the spike in the number of cases in the country.

The Ghana Medical Association has threatened they will stop working if the government does not ban public gathering because they are tired of the numbers at the various hospitals.
