Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju and his wife Gry Molvær have recovered from coronavirus.
The actor, 41, took to Instagram on Monday to reveal the news to fans, as he said that he and his other half were now “in good health.’
Sharing a snap of the pair outside, he wrote in delight: “Hi! We are fully recovered and in good health after I was infected by the Cororonavirus, and most likely my wife.
“After several weeks in quarantine, and also a couple more indoors after being free of all symptoms, we are finally safe and sound. We were lucky to only have mild symptoms of the Covid 19.
“We send our love and thoughts to all of the people where the virus has hit much harder, and to everyone who has lost their loved ones due to the Cornonavirus.”
Kristofer, who made his name as Tormund Giantsbane in the fantasy hit, went on to share his gratitude to fans for supporting him.
He then urged fans to be careful during the pandemic, as he said: “Please remember to stay vigilant and keep your distance, wash your hands, and most of all, take care of each other in this strange time. Lots of love from us.”
In March, Kristofer announced he had contracted the disease by sharing an image with his wife from their home in Norway, along with a heartfelt message to fans.
“Greetings from Norway! Sorry to say that I, today, have tested positive for COVID19, Corona virus,” he began.
“My family and I are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes. We are in good health – I only have mild symptoms of a cold.”
He admitted that other people are at “higher risk” for contracting the virus which would be a “devastating diagnosis” before urging fans to be “extremely careful.”
“Wash your hands, keep 1.5 metres (roughly five feet) distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading,” he said.
He asked fans to “fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals,” before asking them to, “please take care of each other.”
