Ghanaian rapper and hiplife act,Guru has taken to social media to advise his colleague musician on the use of certain social media platform in order to boost the value of their pockets.
Guru asserted on Twitter that 1million streams on Spotify sum up to $7000 and that’s a huge amount of money and the million followers,likes and comments on Instagram pays nothing.
He noted that Ghanaian musicians should set their priorities right as their likes and comments they get from their followers on instagram does not yield any cash or benefits.
This assertion by Guru is quite debatable as it is said and believed that some celebrities make cash from Instagram due to the various photos they post on the social media platform.
He concluded that for changes to be made in the industry,leaders of the industry should try and fix the system for all artistes to get something in their pockets from their labour.
