Burniton Music President, Livingston Etse Satekla, widely known in showbiz circles as Stonebwoy had asked Highlife legend and boss of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) to focus his attention on his job rather than poking his nose into his affairs as regard the Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Last week, Rex Omar persuaded yet-to-be constituted board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) not to lift the ban placed on Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
He further infuriated the SM and Bhim fans and perhaps their leaders when he said the two Dancehall artists, Shatta Wale & Stonebwoy are not above the law or bigger than the VGMAs hence their ban should not be lifted.
His comment did not go down well with Stonebwoy who shot back on 3FM’s Showbiz 927. according to him Rex Omar’s concern should rather be how to man the affairs of GHAMRO and leave matters of VGMAs to the appropriate people to handle.
“I believe he is the boss of GHAMRO or whatever it is. He has work to be done at GHAMRO. He can actually leave VGMA matter for VGMA except he is part of the board,” he told MzGee, the host.
Recall that Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have been banned indefinitely from the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards after they took their age long feud to a whole new level at the last edition of the award ceremony.
