Brigadier General (Rtd) Nunoo Mensah, who has taken leadership roles in the erstwhile Late Prof. John Evans Atta Mills administration as Defence Minister, and has held other positions in government, has stated emphatically that Government flagship program, “Free SHS” will be “useless” and become an exercise in vain if plans are not put in place to curb the joblessness, which has become a major albatross hanging around the neck of the nation.
He cited to Kwaku Dawuro on Kingdom FM’s “Pae Mu Ka”, “Fishing will be very useful than Education if plans are not put in place to clamp down the number of joblessness in the nation.”
Brigadier Nunoo Mensah refused to understand why one will complete Legon or any of the Universities in the country and will still struggle to get a permanent job.
The former Chief of Defence Staff believes governments past and gone have failed to continue the plans of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah before he was ousted from government.
Revealing his relationship with the current president, HE Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo, he told, Kwaku Dawuro, that all his two calls put through to the President, are since to be returned.
