Fire has gutted the Ampayo Krofrom D/A Junior High School at Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti region damaging properties worth Thousands of Ghana cedis .
Some of the items destroyed were the school records, computers, printing machine, laptops, students chairs, Plastic Chairs, Ceiling fans and other valuables.
Information gathered by Ghanawish.com indicates that, the fire started Thursday dawn of May 17, 2019.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service spent about an hour before they were able to douse the fire.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, however, officials of Fire Service have commenced investigations into the incident meanwhile, the Assemby member of the area Hon Bismark Addae Dwumoh suspects foul play and has promised to brought the perpetrators into book.
Headmistress of the school, Madam Joyce Osei Manu has appealed to the government, traditional authorities and other individuals to come to their aid. She has stated that the school management team is going to sit on this issue to find temporary measures that will help the students get a place to study especially the form three students who were about to write their BECE.
