An Accra High Court has ordered the auctioning of household chattels and used clothing belonging to Mr. Felix Ofosu Kwakye.
Properties of Mr. Felix Ofosu Kwakye, including his sponge, were said to have been sold by auction on Wednesday, 3rd April, 2019 to settle a debt.
The court order followed an application for enforcement of the auction order moved by the lawyers of Hallmark Portofolio Limited after Mr. Ofosu Kwakye failed to honour a court judgment they had earlier secured.
Court papers sighted by this reporter show Mr. Ofosu Kwakye in 2016 took an amount of $23,000 from the Directors of Hallmark Portfolio while promising to assist the company secure some contracts. After 2016 however calls made to Mr. Ofosu Kwakye went unanswered compelling the Directors to issue a writ of summons at the High Court.
Both parties entered into a consent judgment when Mr. Ofosu Kwakye promised to refund the money. The lawyers say after an initial deposit of $7,000, Mr Ofosu Kwakye failed or refused to pay the rest of the money leading to an action to have his properties attached for the purpose of defraying the rest of the debt.
Efforts to reach Mr. Ofosu Kwakye for his side of the story has so far promised futile
