Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery has announced that Friday, 6th November, 2020 is not a Public Holiday even though the National Farmers’ Day will be observed on that day.
A statement issued by the Interior minister however said, Friday, 4th December, 2020, which marks Farmers Day, remains a Statutory Public Holiday and would be observed as such throughout the country.
National Farmer’s Day is a statutory public holiday in Ghana observed on the first Friday of December.
In election years, the Farmer’s Day celebration is held on the first Friday of November.
The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Agribusiness Development under COVID-19 – Opportunity and Challenges.”
This year’s celebration will take place in Techiman in the Bono East region.
