President and founder of the Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Dr. Kofi Oduro has fired political parties in the country, especially the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), on the sources of funding for the huge bill boards and the kind of campaign they are embarking in this election period.
Addressing his church members from the Amponsah Memorial Temple on Sunday 15th November 2020, Apostle Dr. Kofi Oduro indicated that political parties in Ghana find it difficult to erect huge billboards when they are opposition, but immediately they are voted to power the tables turn.
He adds that it is unimaginable to fathom where they are able to get monies to produce the uncountable number of bill boards and other activities.
He added that it is now very common to see large bill boards at every corner of the country, and the NPP and NDC are leading in terms of numbers.
“Where did you get the money now to mount the bill boards and campaign you are having now, we did not see them when you were in opposition, so what is the source of funding. This country is bleeding. Quote any figure and they will pay. where is the money coming from? I have people who sell sound equipment and they tell me the amount these politicians are buying them at. They don’t even ask for reduction.
Very interesting people, they will not ask for reduction especially the people in this NPP government. I’m asking where is the money coming from, because the gutters are still chocked.
When NPP were in opposition were you getting money for the kind of publicity you are doing now. Same to the NDC, where did you get the money from in mounting the huge billboards. God will Judge all of you”. He noted
Prophet Dr. Kofi Oduro added that the situation is not peculiar to only the New Patriotic Party, but the National Democratic Congress also practice same when they are in government. He believes that any of the opposition political parties would have done same, if they were in government because nobody asks where they are able to get the monies to mount the huge bill boards and publicity from.
Prophet Kofi Oduro also bemoaned the dilapidated nature of hospitals in the country and questioned why financial resources are not channeled towards there.
“Go to the hospitals and see the very bad facilities that exists there. Go to Korle Bu and see for yourself, there is nobody to give us hope in this country”. Prophet Kofi Oduro noted.
