Even Akufo-Addo can’t stand me in Wuogon – John Dumelo’s ‘rival’ brags

National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Afua Adoboe has vocally expressed her ability to sweep the seat.

According to her, she is the only candidate with the ability to win that seat for the largest opposition party in Ghana, therefore, she should be voted for during the party’s parliamentary primaries.

Speaking on Accra FM on Tuesday, 20 August 2019 Ms Adoboe said her disenchanted and disunited constituents are faced with myriad challenges including poor sanitation, poor public facilities, insecurity and a high rate of youth unemployment.

She appealed to delegates of the party to vote for her so she can contest the 2020 parliamentary poll.

“I will win against anybody the NPP presents in the 2020 elections because of my credentials,” she said.

She added: “Even if the NPP brings President Akufo-Addo to contest me, I will win because I know what it takes to win an election.”

Ms Adoboe comes up against celebrated actor John Dumelo to stand on NDC’s ticket in the 2020 general elections.
