EPA Grants Permit For The Construction Of Airport At Kwahu

Davis Ansah Opoku, a Mpraeso Member of Parliament (MP), has revealed that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the Kwahu Airport’s construction.

The projected Kwahu Airport Limited will be located in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region, at Nkwantanag-Ahinase.

Ansah Opoku announced this on his Facebook page, where he posted a photo of the permit along with the message “EPA Permit secured!” Kwahu Airport Limited is a company based in Kwahu, New Zealand.

The airport, according to Abetifi MP Bryan Acheampong, will help push development in the region while also creating jobs for the youth.

“In the next 10 to 20 years, Kwahu Airport Limited will be a driver for development in Kwahu,” Acheampong remarked in Twi.

In addition to farming and government jobs, he claimed that the Kwahu Airport was part of growth polls identified to help produce between 50,000 and 150,000 jobs.

He went on to say that the airport came first first, followed by a rock city, tourism development, sports facilities, and educational infrastructure expansion.

He emphasized that the airport will aid in the development of tourism in Kwahu, which has the greatest tourist attractions in the country.
