Empress Gifty: I needed gh100,000 to promote my song

The multiple award winning Ghanaian musician and songwriter Mrs. Gifty Adorye ,known in the showbiz as Empress Gifty has expressed and talk about how young radio presenters demand money from her.

        Empress Gifty expressed her feelings about the first time she has presented her music video to television or tv station and she wasn’t asked to pay money. She said she was so plead and shocked. This tells us that for the past years she pays money for her music video to be played on tv stations, even though the tv station are doing their business but it looks like she has to pay huge amount of money for her music video to be played on tv stations.

    

She said she sees it like she is now weeping from the industry. Could this be that when you have fame you get things easily?

She boldly said when it comes to radio stations they demand money for her music to be played. She said they could call her so many times demanding for money and she has to even put her phone on flight mode.

     

She boldly and honestly said senior journalists do not demands money but the young ones does. She shared her view that maybe money matters is really into it.

   

She added that indeed the work of a journalism is difficult especially the “Dj’s”. Since the work of the Djs are difficult she celebrated most of them with Christmas hampers. She said the djs are the ones that share and trend their musics but we don’t appreciate them.

    Her main issue is the money that they pays for their music to trend is too much and she was specific about the amount being gh100,000 that’s One billion in the old currency. And from first January she released her song she has even rest.
