All temporary staff engaged by the Electoral Commission of Ghana can breath a sigh of relief as their long standing issue on allowances has been resolved. Payment of allowances have begun and is expected to run continuosly for all category of workers engaged by the commission over the electoral period till now.
An official announcement by the EC indicated that payment of these allowances to registration field officials begun yesterday and will continue till October 1 this year.
“This is to inform all Temporary Field Officials of the Electoral Commission that payment for the Registration activities commenced yesterday, Thursday the 24th of September, 2020.
“The Commission will complete all payment for the Registration Exercise by Thursday the 1st of October 2020,” the announcement read.
They thus, entreated all staff to exercise patience whiles they work out these payment issues.
The Commission tool the opportunity to thank these group of persons for their support and hard work.
