E/R : Indiscipline hits Koforidua Technical Institute as students uses mobile phones on campus

 

Koforidua Technical Institute is a Technical senior high school situated in the New juabeng North costituency in the eastern regional capital koforidua metropolis.

Indiscipline has become one of the normal challenges which is overwhelming in the school and this has led students to the use of mobile phones in the school.

However, Students also roam about intown during classes hours and jumping from one internet cafe to other,s.

Information gathered has proven that, boarders student has no prep Master to monitor students to study during prep hours.

Student make noise from 7pm to 9pm during prep hours.

In an exclusive interview with fashion and designing student who is known as Mustapha Smaila lamented that, There’s no discipline in the school and the teachers doesn’t shown any care about it.

 

 

The teachers doesn’t also teach them to their satisfaction so if you are a student of (kotech) and you waiting for a teacher to come and teach you before you learn, then you will absolutely fail your course.

Also, He said that everyone on campus uses phone including him but he only touches his phone on weekends. Even form one students have mobile phones. He said.

However, this happened because it was a single sex school and has now been converted into mixed school so the law governing the school is not strong .

Students of kotech roam about during day and night. You can’t identify whether they day student or boarders.

Moreover, they have a term known as *AKPA FOR THE DAY* which mean we have close for the day.

Student comes to school late and close early on their own.

Further more, in a media interaction with resident closer to KOTECH who is known as MRS OPPONG GLADYS
She lamented that she will never recommend anybody who wants to gain Technical education to attend koforidua Technical Institute(KOTECH) because of how student roam about and others also have engaged in wee smoking.
