E-levy: Stay In Parliament, We’ll Work For You In Constituencies – NDC Chairman To Minority

Andrews Nana Akwasi, the opposition National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Ashanti Region Chairman, wants the party’s lawmakers in Parliament to stay in the House to prevent the controversial Electronic Transfer Levy Bill from being passed.

He stated that he would not hesitate to organize and work on behalf of party members at the constituency level.

“I’m going to organize my executives and party supporters to visit constituencies where we have control so that our lawmakers in Parliament can stay focused and block the e-levy from passing,” he told Akoma FM.

The fate of the e-levy is in doubt as the government continues to engage in regional engagements in an attempt to persuade the people to support the program.
