A group calling itself the Progressive Youth of Volta is calling on the main opposition party the NDC to stop playing with the minds of Ewes and the people of the Volta Region.
This call comes after recent brouhaha concerning the deployment of some military operatives in the region to help curb the infiltration of other foreign Nationals into the country.
According to the group, the national democratic Congress (NDC) only remembers the Volta Region when it comes to election but does nothing in regard to developmental projects.
Eastern Corridor Roads
The people of Volta Region cannot boast of anything else apart from just being “a Voter’s region”. The NDC has claimed that part of the country to be their stronghold but did not see it necessary to undertake any developmental projects in order to alleviate the plight of its people.
A typical example of this seeming neglect is the current state of the Eastern Corridor roads. The construction of this road was started in the era of the late Prof. Attah- Mills and up to date has not been completed, leaving residents and travellers to part of the country in a state of agony.
Conclusion
The group in a Facebook post is calling therefore calling on all Voltarians to be wise with how they deal with the NDC so that region should not be taken for granted when it comes to developmental projects.
