Celebrated Ghanaian broadcaster, Kwasi Kyei Darkwa (KKD) has admonished homosexuals not to feel bad about their sexual orientation else they are acting stupid.
To his best knowledge, there is no need to conceal their sexual orientation from the public, irrespective of the fact that the laws and structures in Ghana frown on their choices.
Kwasi Kyei Darkwa speaking about the issue of homosexuality envisaged that;
“There are people who are gay in Ghana. In Ghana, it is because of the rule that they cover. It’s dumb, I think, that someone living their truth has to hide.
“I do not know, I do not know (whether homosexual should be legalized). I have not given much thought to it. I have to think about this. I’m not familiar with it sufficiently. “I just read about it because my son came out and said he’s a gay man,”
He further went ahead to state that although he would not take a stand on homosexuality, he can boldly say that wherever that he has worked in Ghana he has come across people who are gay but feel shy and scared to voice it out.
