A dog sustained horrific injuries after being “raped” and stabbed 30 times has died.
The desperate dog was found on the streets of Bogota, Colombia, on November 1st and featured in a disturbing video showing how difficult it is to move.
She was rescued and then taken to the vet for urgent treatment.
The dog was reportedly having recently given birth to a litter of puppies when the incident occurred.
Marta Buitrago, the resident who found her, told El Tiempo newspaper that the dog was injured and very weak.
Another woman, Liliana Guerrero, shared pictures and videos on Facebook who said the dog was “stabbed many times and sexually abused by several people”.
“Because she wouldn’t let her, they stabbed her,” added Liliana before adding that the dog had unfortunately died from her injuries.
“They destroyed her genitals, stabbed her nearly 30 times, beat her and caused other superficial injuries,” Liliana continued.
“The dog couldn’t handle the pain.”
She added that she felt unable to convey the “tremendous sadness and helplessness I feel” after the animal’s tragic death.
The nameless dog is not the first to die in the country as a result of an attack of bestiality.
The puppy named Aquiles died in the Quinchia parish, but it is unclear whether authorities have investigated the matter.
