Defense minister allegedly ‘quarantined’ over coronavirus after his trip to South Korea; he reacts

Minister for Defense Mr. Dominic Nitiwul according to information reaching us has been quarantined for fourteen days following his return from an official visit to South Korea.

According to a source, though the Minister didn’t show any signs and symptoms of the deadly virus, the move is a precautionary measure to ensure that he did not contract the virus while in that country that has also been hit by the disease.

The Member of Parliament(MP) for the Bimbilla constituency in the Northern Region who was scheduled to have his vetting as a parliamentary aspirant in the Northern Region, however, failed to show up.

“He returned from an official trip to South Korea some days ago and as a precautionary measure, we have decided that he should not come in person for the vetting. We will use another means to vet him. You know South Korea is one of the area that has been hit by the novel Coronavirus”, an official of the vetting committee confirmed.

In other news, the minister has come out to state that he has not been quarantined but as a procedure to check if he has been affected, he was rather subjected to several tests on his return.

“There is a medical procedure to quarantine people and I am relaxing happily after helping the country in the 3 countries I visited to lobby for Dr Kwakwa for WIPO Sec Gen position”, he revealed.
