Some section of Ghanaians have described the minister of Education Dr.Matthew Opoku Prempeh (Napo) as “Fornication” minister after the government’s attempt to introduce the new Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) into the basic school curriculum.
The government of Ghana and the United Nations Education , Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) launched the CSE programme in a bid to empower adolescent and young people.
The policy has however met strong resistance from the citizenry including churches,teacher groups and Muslims .
Commenting on the issue some traders at the Kumasi Kejetia said the introduction of the CSE is a clear attempt by the government to turn the nation into a fornication ground for children.
Speaking to local news, Otec the traders called on the government to shelve the programme with immediate effect.
