While commending retired health workers who have accepted to join the frontline in the fight against the virus, President Nana Addo added that “it is heartening to hear of the number of retired health care professionals who have stepped forward to offer their services”.

Following a surge in the number of confirmed cases of the Corona Virus in Ghana, the President announced new measures aimed at significantly reducing the rate of possible transmission of the virus.

A total of over 50,000 personal protective equipment are expected to arrive in the country soon for distribution to health facilities across the country.
