COVID-19: Ghana’s Current Case Could Increase Only Five Times Should Gov’t Employ Its Best Effort -Dr. Oko Boye

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ledzokuku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region who is alos the Board Chairman of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Bernard Oko Boye has said Ghana’s current case count of 136 of COVID 19 could increase only five times as much should government employ its best effort.

Speaking with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM Friday morning, the Public Health expert said, it would only be by the grace of God that the country would record such low numbers in the face of growing incidence across the world, even in countries with the best and sought-after health systems.

He says Ghana has so far done a good job with efforts at containing the spread of the virus and urged that the numbers trickling in must not cause any panic for anyone.

The Ghana Health Service has reported that, as at this morning, “a total of fifty-eight (58) cases including three (3) deaths have been confirmed from the regular surveillance systems”.
