As the President of the Republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday, March 15, 2020, in a Facebook live video announced that all public and private schools including universities are from 16th of March 2020 suspended for the next four weeks.
Some news reaching our desk us indicates that despite the ban on social gatherings, the National Identification Authority (NIA), is still registering people for the Ghana card.
In a Twitter post sighted by Ghanawish.com, by a user identified as Edem Agbana the registration is still ongoing in certain parts of the Eastern Region. Applicants are believed to be the most vulnerable because all of them would eventually end up using the same device to scan their fingers.
Ghanaians believe this activity would cause more harm than good as they shared their thoughts on the post.
