Shatta Wale was arrested a few weeks ago after pulling a publicity stunt in connection with a doom prophecy given by a man of God named Jesus Ahuofe. He was arrested, along with three members of his team, for allegedly spreading a false report on social media.
They were charged and placed in police prison for one week at the Ankaful prison in Central Region after which they were later given bail of GHc100,000 each.
Medikal, on the other hand, was detained by the police not long after Shatta Wale was taken into custody. In a viral video circulating on social media, he was accused of displaying a gun. He was arrested and held in police custody for five days after being arraigned in court. He was also given bail of GHC100,000.
The two musicians were made to appear before the court today and their cases were adjourned to December 7 by an Accra Circuit court.
In other news, Ghanaian Afropop/dancehall musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla, well known as Stonebwoy has subtly shaded Kwame A-Plus for rubbishing his newest single dubbed “Greedy Men”.
Kwame A-Plus during the United aired on UTV hosted by Empress Nana Ama Mcbrown stated that Stonebwoy should have recorded a love song instead of recording a song against illegal miners in the country.
According to Kwame A-Plus, the move to eradicate illegal miners from the country was initiated long ago but leaders in the country and some mining communities continue to remain adamant, selling lands to foreigners to engage in illegal mining and other illegal activities.
