Chelsea FC winger Callum Hudson Odoi has finally made a Nationality switch after persuade from President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo.
The youngster, last month visited Ghana were he’s parents comes from. His visit to the Flagstaff House, had the Father of the West African Country asking him to switch his allegiance from England to Ghana.
Odoi was born and grown in England were he graduated from the Chelsea Academy to the senior team.
According to local media reports, Callum Hudson Odoi has switched his National allegiance from England to Ghana pending an approval from FIFA.
He played for England’s youth team and has made two appearances for the Three Lions as well, with his debut coming against Czech Republic before making his first start for Gareth Southgate side in their 5:0 cruising over Montenegro in UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers.
Early last year, FIFA’s annual congress approved a rule change which meant players could switch countries if they had not played more than three matches for a country before the age of 21 and had not featured at a World Cup or continental tournament.
