Lynx Entertainment Signee and ‘Angela’ song hit-maker Kuame Eugene, who also bears the moniker Rockstar, has said he’s gradually relegating that name to the background as he takes a new name ‘Africa Number One.’
In that regard, he wants to use the new moniker Africa Number 1 so he becomes number one on the continent.
He said: “When I started calling myself Rockstar, people were mocking me and asking what I meant by that. But now when I go on stage and scream ROCK, they answer STAR. And I’m wondering if its not the same people who mocked me when I began calling myself that.”
He added: So very soon people will begin to believe that I’ll be Africa’s number one. Even as at now, people respond when I say Africa with Number 1. I’m speaking it into being. Besides I’ve won an AFRIMA as Most Prominent African Artiste of the Year, I have a lot of African nominations, I’m going for an African tour this year so little by little we are getting there.”
