The national organiser of the Convention Peoples Party, (CPP) Mr. George Oliver Gyimah, has made it clear that, the decision of government and Ghana Education Service (GES) to change the school uniforms of the Junior High School students is useless and and there is no need for that.
According to Mr. George Oliver Gyimah, there are many challenges facing the educational sector that needs to be addressed but not changing of school uniform.
Mr. George Oliver Gyimah continued by saying, many students are sitting under trees learning, some don’t even have books to write and also read.
Mr. George Oliver Gyimah then asked the government that, what impact will the new uniforms bring to the students academically?
“I have heard the contract is also given to a relative of the education minister, aaahhh look at this” he added.
