Speaking at the National Emerging Leaders’ Economic Forum 2024, he stated that certain outdated taxes, such as the COVID-19 tax, should be abolished, along with reconsidering the E-Levy and the Emission tax.

However, he cautioned that complete elimination could harm the country’s financial health.

He suggested replacing it with more effective measures to foster economic growth and empower young innovators, noting that climate change is a pressing global challenge.

He proposed a Climate Levy to replace those outdated taxes to address environmental issues while creating sustainable job opportunities.

Asomani emphasized empowering youth through job creation, education, and a stable economic framework.

He urged young voters to prioritize policies over short-term political gains and advocated for strong leadership in Africa characterized by accountability and transparency.

Other speakers at the forum echoed his sentiments, stressing the need for visionary leadership and active youth participation in governance to shape a prosperous future for Ghana.
