C.C.C launches a 15 year sanitisation project today with a massive clean-up exercise.

The much a awaited clean – up exercise by the Concerned Cleaning Crusaders with support from KMA came off over the weekend as planned at Krofrom in the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly in the Ashanti Region.

The exercise was in line with the churches formed group, Concerned Cleaning Crusaders to use their pulpits to sensitize church members and Ghanaians on sanitation.

In view of this, the group is embarking on clean – up exercises to help the government founded sanitisation bodies in keeping the country clean by getting rid of the indiscriminate dumping of solid waste and others.

The clean – up exercise took place at exactly 7:00 am from the Krofrom traffic to the abounded market at Krofrom where big gutters were chocked.

Very. Rev. Dr. Samuel Edubate Nkatsia of Dunwell Methodist Church, Dichemso – Kumasi who is the patron of the Concerned Cleaning Crusaders revealed they were ready to spread their wings to the other regions in the country and also would commit resources to support the campaign if others called for their services and assistance.

Very. Rev. Dr. Samuel Nketsia said it was time for all Ghanaians to get involved in the waste management process by managing waste in their homes using waste bins before it spilt out onto the streets and gutters.

The 15 – year cleaning project was aimed at protecting the environment and curbing sanitation – related issues in the country.

The program themed: Special Movement for Christ: On Sanitation campaign is scheduled to be rolled out in all the sixteen regions in Ghana.

Giving further details about Concerned Cleaning Crusaders and the 15 – year cleaning project, Very Rev. Dr. Samuel Nketsia also said the campaign would be conducted on timely bases and students would also be involved.

KMA as a partner of the campaign, the KMA boss Mr. Osei Asibey Antwi who visited the scene acknowledged the hard work of the churches who teamed up in the formation of the crusade and also said the assembly would be providing equipment during the clean – up exercises across the boundaries of Kumasi.

Per the campaign, members of the member Churches and KMA are to organize periodic clean – up exercises, hold seminars on sanitation among other activities in ensuring a clean environment.

Power of God,
Good Shepherd Methodist,
Ebenezer Prayer Church,
Great Miracle Church and
Eltherean Mission are the churches under the Concerned Cleaning Crusaders group.
