Some students in Singapore University of Technology and Design have forecast when the Coronavirus pandemic will end in some countries around the world,
Though it did not state the methodology used in arriving at the decision, it concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic will end fully by 16th August, 2020 in Ghana.
However, by 28th June, 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic would have ceased to spread by about 97% according to the report.
USA which is the highest hit country will see coronavirus vanishing from its shores by 27th August, 2020.
CODVID-19 will however disappear from Italy, Spain, United Kingdom and France by 25th August, 2020; 7th August, 2020; 14th August, 2020 and 5th August, 2020 respectively
Globally, more than 2.9 million people have been infected by COVID-19 which was first discovered in Wuhan in China. About 206, 822 people have died while877, 126 have recovered.
In Ghana, 1550 people have been infected with 11 deaths and 155 recovery as at April 26, 2020 according to the Ghana Health Service
Greater Accra, Ashanti and Eastern Regions are the hardest hit with high number of infections.
The Ghana Health Service Data indicated that 84% of the COVID-19 infected people are people without travel history while 16% of the people are people with travel history.
