When we talk about poor educational infrastructure in rural Communities, mostly the focus is on school under trees.
But Pupils of Brukum D/A J.H.S in the Yilo Krobo Municipal of Eastern Region, they do not learn under trees. However, it will be fair to say they study under discomfortable conditions worse than that.
The school which operate with only eight (8) Students from form one to form three learn under dilapidated roof, weak and collapse disturbing walls. But even more disturbing is the absence of DESKS, Cupboard’s and teaching and learning materials in the School.
A healthy learning environment in the school is only possible when Students and teachers are provided with adequate facilities, safe and sound infrastructure.
Weaker building due to aging and lacking of maintenance are some of the reason why the school buildings are collapsing in the country.

The school was established way back according to the Headmaster and Assembly member. The school is operations with 8 Students and 5 male teachers, “One Students One teacher” from form One to form three, the bizarre school building cause children stopped attending the school.
The community of Brukum is appealing to stakeholders, NGOs, government to come to their aid.
