A British Airways lodge chief, Ian Johnson, has allegedly kicked the bucket from the novel coronavirus.
The lodge administration chief for the aircraft died at St Thomas’ in London on Friday.
Ian has been on a ventilator for 10 days and was accepting treatment at the ICU of the emergency clinic
Having worked for the British Airways for 35 years, he becomes the first BA staff member to die from the flu-like virus.
His death has been described by colleagues as “a bright light gone too early”.
He was survived by a sister, an employee of Virgin Atlantic.
