Bring Back MTTD On Our Roads – GPRTU Begs IGP

Mr Albert Boamah, Chairman of the Sofoline GPRTU, has written to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr Akuffo Dampare, requesting that the police MTTD be reinstated on our roads.

He claims that removing MTTD employees from our roadways will increase road accidents since most cars will disregard traffic laws.

“I am asking with the IGP to reinstate the MTTD employees on the roads; their absence would lead to irresponsible driving, and some drivers will take advantage of this opportunity to do something stupid on the highways.”

“I believe they need to return to the highways,” he stated emphatically.

Furthermore, Mr Albert Boamah requested the government to lower fuel prices, claiming that the sudden rise in petroleum prices has negatively impacted them.

“It’s incredibly upsetting to wake up every day to learn they’ve raised fuel costs while our income has remained unchanged,” he said. “The government must wake up and stop these barbaric deeds.”
