Breast, fingers of woman removed after being murdered in Ashanti Region

A body of a 25-year-old woman, whose name was given as Abena Afriyie a.k.a Mother, has been found by the Atwima Kwanwoma District Police Command.

The woman who is believed to have been murdered by unknown assailants, was found at Dida, a suburb of the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region on Friday , 7th May 2021.

Atinka News’ Ashanti Regional correspondent, Osei Tutu, who reported the incident mentioned that the Unit Committee Chairman for the area, Mr. Osei Kwadwo, who spoke to press men revealed that three of the right fingers of the deceased was missing when the Police found the body.

He added that the woman’s toes had been cut off and one of her breasts was also no where to be found.

“ This is a sad issue. When the police retrieved the body, three of her right fingers, two left fingers and some of her toes had been cut off. One of her breasts was also missing”, Unit Committee Chairman for the area, Mr. Osei Kwadwo told Osei Tutu.

Meanwhile, The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.

The police at Foase has commenced investigations into the case.

The Atwima Kwanwoma District Police Command has also launched investigations into the issue.
