Former Navrongo Central Member of Parliament (MP) and Aviation Minister Kofi Adda’s death has been verified by his family.
According to close family members, the astute politician died on Thursday morning in Accra’s Legon Hospital after being transported there earlier.
“When he complained of sickness on Thursday morning, we took him to Legon Hospital, but he died shortly after arriving.” We’ll meet there soon to determine the true cause of death.” This gateway was used by a family member to share information.
After the death of the incumbent then Deputy Minister for Communications and Technology, Mr John Setuni Achuliwor, Kofi Adda became a Member of Parliament (MP) for Navrongo in 2003, he won a by-election in the constituency.
In 2004, Kofi Adda was re-elected to the NPP’s seat and appointed Minister of Manpower Development and Employment under the administration of John Agyekum Kufour.
After a reshuffle, Kofi Adda was assigned to the Energy Ministry as a Minister, however he was eventually replaced by Felix Owusu Adjapong.
Mark Woyongo defeated him in 2012 to win the Navrongo seat, which he won in 2016.
Tangoba Abageya, who went on to lose the seat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, swept Kofi Adda off the seat in the 2020 elections primaries.
