A proposal has been tabled for JHS students to run a Semester system during the stakeholders meeting at the GES office.
Speaking on Joy Fm’s news, Mr. Thomas Musa, general secretary of GNAT indicated that 2 terms have been lost already because of the closure of schools in March 2020
He said, ‘So when schools reopen next year, you will release that we closed down schools in March this year and because the schools were in March this year.’
‘We missed some days in the second term but we lost the entire 3rd term and the entire first term” Mr. Thomas Musa added
According to him, the GES needed to find a way to cover the 2 terms that were lost and the only way is to run the semester system
The cabinet meeting is still ongoing and according to him, a statement will be released when everything is finalized
